The style and theme of your room will always be the first choice you make when decorating a room. Think about how the color will fit into the style and theme you are interested in. A good rule for decorators is, when looking at a room, start from the bottom and work your way up.

Imagine how all the things in your room will sit on the floor. The color of the floor is very important. All the fabrics you put in your room will likely have the floor color in the pattern. For example, with a red floor you might put all neutral colored fabrics with red accents in the patterned design. Or, you might have a beige floor with beige being one of three other colors in a patterned design.

Every room has an anchor or pivot color, and all other colors should rotate around it. It will control the mood of the room.

Red: Stimulates, empowers, dramatizes and brings about passion.

Orange: Stimulates appetites, conversation, and good will.

Yellow: Cheers, increases energy, expands the imagination.

Green: Balances, normalizes, refreshes. Encourages emotional growth.

Blue: Relaxes, refreshes, produces tranquil feelings and peaceful moods

Purple…Creates mystery, comforts, draws out intuition.

White: Amplifies intensity of other colors. Feels purifying and unifies. Good for displaying very colorful objects and furnishings.

Black: Inspires self-reliance, authority, and strengthens. A neutral color. Good for pulling together different colors.

Here are some things to thing about.

►Always balance out the colors, for example, if the floor is a bright color, place light colored furniture in the room and vice versa. Bold colors like red are complemented by black appliances or white furniture.

► An unhurried, calm look will likely use monochromatic colors.

► The use of virtual room softwares, or floor samples to select the right color for your home’s floor is very helpful.

When you think you have the color picked out and the colors to match it, say to yourself, “Is this home?” If the answers is yes, you have the right floor color.

Laminate started to become available in the mid 1990′s. It is child, elderly and pet friendly. It is now the the fastest growing segment of the flooring market. It only stands to reason. It is reasonably priced, beautiful to look at, and available in popular styles that simulate ceramic tile, wood or stone. It is amazingly durable, laminate usually resists fading, stains, scratches and moisture damage. ITtile along with its partners will be the first interlocking PVC tile to have such a product. Our patented floor tile is like our regular tile in that it “floats” over existing floors. It will be popular with DIY homeowners.

Welcome to ITtile. This is our first blog. Our Director of Marketing and Media, Christopher Ferman, suggested that we start a blog to give our customers a chance to comment on our different products. Currently we offer four styles of tile. Coin, Diamond, HomeDecor, and Commercial/Industrial. We are about to launch a new product that has never been seen before. We are very excited.

We have to wait for the US Patent & Trade office to approve our patent. Even still, we are currently manufacturing and will be ready soon. We are looking to deliver in November. Please let us know what is working for you, so that other can learn about the many uses of our tile. And of course, if you have had any difficulty we want to hear about that too.

We believe you can not get a better quality PVC Interlocking Tile, than our ITtile. We have had such success, that we are going to extend our warranty in November to a Life Time Promise.

Thanks for stopping by.
